Electric cylinder selection guide
Conversion Formula of Motor Output Torque and Electric Cylinder Output Force:
F=T×η×2π×R/L
F: Electric Cylinder Output Force(Unit: KN)
T: Motor Output Torque(Unit: Nm)
L: Screw lead(Unit: mm)
R: Reduction ratio
η: Efficiency, in general, the total efficiency of the electric cylinder selection is 85%, the actual efficiency will change according to the operating conditions
Electric cylinder life calculation
The life of the electric cylinder generally refers to the life of the screw used inside the electric cylinder and can be divided into two parts. One is the fatigue life of the screw, which can be calculated; the other is the service life, depending on the conditions of usage (eg, Screw brand, temperature, dust, type of lubrication used, frequency added regularly, etc.).
The service life is often obtained through experience. The following is the calculation method of fatigue life of the screw:
L10=(Ca/Fm)³×L
L10: Electric cylinder life(Unit: Km)
Fm: Average load on electric cylinder(Unit: Kn)
Ca: The basic rated dynamic load of the screw nut(It can be found through the screw sample)(Unit: Kn)
L: Screw lead(Unit: mm)
